Iraqi Interim Government loots treasury and leaves. If only our own Government would leave after plundering us!

"The highwayman takes solely upon himself the responsibility, danger, and crime of his own act. He does not pretend that he has any rightful claim to your money, or that he intends to use it for your own benefit … Furthermore, having taken your money, he leaves you, as you wish him to do … He does not keep "protecting" you by commanding you to bow down and serve him; by requiring you to do this, and forbidding you to do that." – Lysander Spooner

This story is just priceless!

As reported by ABC News the US installed interim Government has apparently made off with some cash, about 1 Billion worth according to reports:

"BAGHDAD, Iraq Oct 10, 2005 — Iraq has issued arrest warrants against the defense minister and 27 other officials from the U.S.-backed government of former Prime Minister Iyad Allawi over the alleged disappearance or misappropriation of $1 billion in military procurement funds, officials said Monday.

Those accused include four other ministers from Allawi's government, which was replaced by an elected Cabinet led by Shiite parties in April, said Ali al-Lami of Iraq's Integrity Commission. Many of the officials are believed to have left Iraq, including Hazem Shaalan, the former defense minister who moved to Jordan shortly after the new government was installed."

What I want to know is why can't our own Government skip town and LEAVE US ALONE! after it loots us?

Government has been described by more than one Anarchist as nothing more than a band of thieves and these people lived up to that reputation.

There is a silver lining in this dark cloud of corruption though.

At least they didn't stay long enough to be a legitimate Government.

Then they would have been granted a license to loot.

This has got to be the most corrupt Government I have ever heard of.

Except for all the rest.
